Coniferous honey

Coniferous honey

Needles are a valuable vitamin concentrate. According to the content of vitamin C, needles are 10 times more active than potatoes and 4 times lemon. In addition, many vitamins A (carotene) and K. are abundant in the needles. The abundance of coniferous trees (pine, spruce, fir) and the ease of preparation of conifers with a high content of vitamins were a prerequisite for obtaining an express method of coniferous honey.

As an artificial nectar, bees were given a sweet infusion of pine needles. The honey obtained was of amber color, with a slight greenish tinge, and had a pleasant gentle taste with a barely perceptible resinous smell. For the present, it is better to take winter needles, since in the spring and summer, especially in the south, the vitamin activity of needle needles is very low.
