If the hive does not have a uterus
Cases are frequent, especially in the Primorsky Territory with its capricious winter, when families remain bezmatochnymi. Such families, as a rule, perish. The original method was suggested and repeatedly used by the amateur beekeeper. At the beginning of wintering, he discovered an ice-free family. She behaved very restlessly and would hardly have survived until spring. The beekeeper decided to take advantage of the bees’ ability to react even to the odor of the uterus.
To do this, he connected a rubber hose to the upper leg of an ice-free family with a top hive, in which a strong family with a good uterus spent the winter. The bees of the bezuccino beehive immediately calmed down and safely completed the wintering.
Another case occurred in the neighbor’s hinterland. He had two families of bees, who behaved very restlessly. Assumed that there is no uterus.
The above operation was repeated, that is, they connected these hives with a hive, where a strong family spent the winter. In the spring after the show, it was discovered that the mice were causing anxiety.
Beekeepers know how bad it is for bees. However, in this case the family successfully overwintered.
