Roller for printing out honeycombs
It is known that it is necessary to unpack honey combs not only during pumping honey, but also when replenishing feed stocks in the early spring and autumn. Printing with an apiary knife or fork is a relatively time-consuming process, besides attracting bees. This can cause theft.
To bees can take honey from the cells, it is not necessary to completely print the honeycomb. It is enough to pierce the seal. For this purpose I made a special device. It is a polyethylene roller with a diameter of 38 mm, movably fixed on the handle, with sharply sharpened pins in it. For printing, I roll a roller on a honeycomb. After use, I put it in a dish of water, so as not to attract bees. This device increases labor productivity, and also helps to avoid bee theft.
