Pavilion for bees in the attic of the house
In the pavilion it is convenient to work with bees in any weather. In the spring, the family is protected from frosts, and in the summer – from overheating. In it, bees successfully hibernate and fly around earlier, which contributes to the rapid build-up of the strength of families, increases their productivity.
I read an article that described the contents of bees in the attic, and decided to adapt the second floor of his house to a small apiary. To do this, the roof made a hole at a height of 1.6 m from the rafters, brought out the console, and planks: it turned out to be a closed balcony on both sides and on top (see fig.) With two ventilation pans.
I expanded the second floor room to make room for the hives and inventory. For this work, it took me 0.5 m3 of boards and two rolls of roofing paper. The entire rework took 6-8 hours (two people worked). On such an apiary I keep five bee colonies.
Neighbors do not interfere with the neighbors, since the hives are at a height of three meters from the ground.
